I manage investments for private individuals, trusts, personal pensions and small charities, working alongside Diana Cooper. I also provide comprehensive research and administrative support for the team and clients.

My role focuses on managing a broad range of investment portfolios for private clients and I have extensive experience in the management of inheritance tax schemes and pensions. I also work closely with an increasing number of intermediaries providing investment management support to independent financial advisers (IFAs) and solicitors in the area.

I look to provide individual solutions for my clients. Most importantly, I start by fully understanding my client's aims and objectives to see exactly what has to be achieved within the set parameters. There are many different solutions available and identifying which fits best is hugely important, not only at that point in time, but also for the different phases of life that are to come. I manage portfolios for clients but work closely with my financial planning colleagues to find the best structures. Investment returns can be one part of managing portfolios, but their tax efficiency is also very important. As a result, I manage portfolios for individuals, trusts, charities and some companies. I aim to keep an open mind about trends and financial information, look to challenge assumptions but equally, I am happy to be persuaded by a good idea. I believe that this will provide the best outcome for clients that I can achieve.

My priority is to provide bespoke financial advice to private clients. I specialise in later life financial advice, working together with clients and their families, at a location which is convenient for them. I aim to gain an understanding of their needs and wishes so that they can enjoy retirement and later life, safe in the knowledge that they will be able to cope with whatever later life throws at them. The tailor made services I am able to offer includes; inheritance tax and estate planning; retirement planning; investment planning; later life and care fees planning.      

I coordinate and implement the team's investment strategy across client investment portfolios. I actively engage in Investec's investment process and attend the central investment committees, working closely with collectives and direct equity research departments. My areas of expertise include discretionary fund management, ESG portfolio construction, thematic investing, healthcare, technology, smart materials and active vs passive Investing.
