The team has extensive knowledge across various legislation and regulations such as the Income Tax Act, Pension Funds Act and Collective Investment Schemes Control Act and a proven track record in offering solvency solutions.
Our clients are predominantly non-banking financial institutions. Institutional Finance & Solutions has a particular focus on insurers where there is a need for our product set and key competencies due to the complexity and sophistication of these institutions.
The team has the ability to leverage off the international capability and reach offered throughout the Investec Group.
Through working closely with other specialist teams at Investec, the team has executed on a number of financing transactions with insurance groups, including –
- structured preference share instruments
- leverage finance transactions
- medium-term, bilateral or syndicated, vanilla or capital structured loans
- short-term, revolving credit facilities
