Head: Institutional Sales and Structuring

My role entails heading up our Institutional Sales and Structuring team, focusing on Non-Bank Financial Institutions (i.e. Asset Managers managing collective investment schemes and Investment divisions of Insurance Companies).

We structure and deliver investment products and hedging solutions for institutions seeking exposure to Fixed Income, Credit, Foreign Exchange, and Equities. Such exposure leverages our origination capabilities as a bank and suitable platforms such that products and solutions are appropriately structured for Investor needs. Prior to my current role, I served as a co-portfolio manager of a credit Investment franchise, which involved structuring, trading and risk management of a Global diversified credit portfolio.

Keshiv Nayagar

Head: Structured Fixed Income and Credit

I joined Investec in 2015 and currently look after the Structured Credit and Funding Sales pillar within the Investec Institutional Sales and Structuring franchise. I am a JSE registered Fixed Income Trader for Investec Bank Limited and focus specifically on managing, pricing and distribution of our Credit Linked Note offerings, Senior Unsecured bonds, and structured notes with Interest Rate derivative enhancement. My responsibility further expands to the issuance of subordinated debt (Additional Tier 1 and Tier 2) of Investec Limited. Lastly, I cover the sales of securitized and repacked assets via our asset backed platforms and have also been involved in the debt issuance of multiple listed corporate transactions within the primary debt capital market.

Leanne Large

Head: Distribution and Loan Syndication

I joined Investec in 2005 in the Private Bank. From there I moved to the Capital Markets division, where my role covered both Corporate and Institutional clients, within the FX and Money Market space. In 2010 my focus moved to distribute structured investment and fixed income products to the Institutional client base. I have been involved numerous fund-raising activities and roadshows for both Investec Bank and third-party clients of the Debt Capital Markets team, via the placement of public and private transactions in the market such as securitisations, corporate bonds, commercial paper and structured notes. For the last 4 years , I was tasked with growing the Loan Distribution and Syndication franchise across multiple asset teams with key Institutional investors, being both Asset Managers and Life Companies as well as Local and International Banks.

Alfons Ideler

Head: Securitisation and Repacks

With over 27 years of experience in financial markets, rating agencies and credit structuring, I currently look after our platforms, which include securitization and repack vehicles. My role involves the financial engineering, structuring and maintenance of our vehicles in line with requirements from the regulators and investor requirements. Through our platforms we are able to transform Investec originated credit exposure to formats suitable for Institutional portfolio requirements.

Freda Hamersma

Head: Multi Asset Structuring

I have been a member of Investec Financial Products since 2010 and have been involved in fixed income, credit and rate structuring for institutional investors since then. A more recent focus is to lead the Multi-Asset Sales and Structuring initiative, which is a collaboration across various teams to deliver structured solutions across the different asset classes to an institutional investor base. Previously I was with Standard Bank’s interest rate and forex derivative businesses where I was offering hedging solutions to corporate clients. As a consequence, I have more than 25 years of experience in risk management, structuring and sales in the financial markets.
