How to activate your Investec Online account

  1. Before you can log in, you need to activate your account over the phone.
  2. Call us on one of the numbers below, with your Investec ID to hand (it'll have been posted to your home) to create your online account. 
  3. We'll then text you a one-time password (OTP), which you'll need to log in for the first time.

 

Don’t have your Investec ID?

We post an Investec ID to all new clients, which you'll need when using Investec Online. If you haven't received yours after five days of opening an account with us, please contact us via by phone or form using the details below.

If you’ve lost your ID or can’t remember it, please contact us we’ll be able to help.

How to log in for the first time (after activating)

  1. Visit www.investecwin.co.uk (which you're currently on), and select the login lock icon 🔒 in the top right of the page.
  2. Type in your Investec ID and the one-time password we texted you.
  3. Once you're logged in, we’ll prompt you to change your password and to set up your telephone banking security details. Your password needs to be 8 characters or more and contain numbers and letters.
  4. Every time you log in from then on, use the new password. We’ll text you a one-time password for extra security. So make sure you have your phone to hand.
  5. If you also download the Investec app, use the same Investec ID and password you created to log in.

If you already have an Investec Online account, you don’t need to follow the steps above. Instead, just log in using your existing Investec ID and password and follow the instructions on screen. If you've forgotten your log in details, including your password, visit the log in page and select the 'Forgot your password' link. Alternatively, you can contact us for help over the phone.

  • Do I need to use a keypad or passphrase to log in?

    We no longer use the keypad or passphrase for login security. All you need to log in once you’ve registered is your Investec ID, password and mobile phone. 

  • What makes a good password?

    Your password should be hard to guess and easy to remember. To make sure you use a strong password, it’ll need more than eight characters and a combination of letters and numbers.

  • What is two-factor authentication?

    Two-factor authentication, or ‘2FA’ is an extra layer of security designed to make it harder for hackers to get into your account without making it inconvenient for you. It normally requires a second device, like a mobile phone. The one-time password we text you is a type of 2FA.

  • How do I reset my Investec Online password?

    Assuming you have previously registered for Investec Online, you can reset your password by following the below steps:

    1. Navigate to the Investec Online login page: The link can be found at the top right of any page on www.investecwin.co.uk, marked with the login lock icon 🔒 from the top right corner. 
    2. Start the password reset process: On the Investec Online login page, select the "Forgot your password?" link under the login button.
    3. Enter your Investec ID: Enter your Investec ID in the relevant field and select the "Next" button. If you don't know or have forgotten your Investec ID, select the "Forgot your Investec ID?" link to find the relevant phone number to reach your local Investec Online support team.

  • What do I do if I'm having problems logging into Investec Online?

    Access to Investec Online and the Investec app could be hindered for a range of reasons, including poor internet signal/strength. If you're having issues with remembering your password or Investec ID, visit the log in page and select the 'Forgot your password' link. Alternatively, you can contact us for help over the phone.
