Campbell is an analyst with Investec Wealth & Investments SA and sits on the Global Sustainable Equity Fund investment committee. He is responsible for analysis and coverage of resource companies in the global mining, oil and gas, chemicals, steel and paper and packaging sectors.

He has had an extensive career on both the buy and sell side of the investment industry.

He has a Ph.D in inorganic chemistry from the University of Kwazulu-Natal and Purdue University, Indiana.
