What we did

We actively supported Mérieux NutriSciences during all the process: drafting of LOI, sellers and acquiror teams coordination, execution support during the Due Diligence phase (financial, tax, legal, business, environmental), valuation guidance, negotiation, legal documentation and finance integration.

Investec played a key role in (i) implementing a trusted relationship between the management of Milouda & Migal Laboratories and the management of Mérieux NutriSciences, (ii) coordinating all the process without a sell-side advisor in an international context and (iii) performing a strong operating work and in-depth due diligence analysis.

About the deal

Milouda & Migal Laboratories have become a leading player in the food testing industry in Israel. It offers a full range of microbiology and chemistry testing services, mostly dedicated to food & environment testing. With facilities in Haïfa and Kyriat Shmona (North of Israel), Milouda & Migal Laboratories are one of the two leading laboratories in Israel. The company employs circa 110 employees in Israel.

With this acquisition, Mérieux NutriSciences continues to consolidate its position as a worldwide leader in food safety and strengthens its presence in the region.
