IPO Conference 2023: Preparing for the next stage of growth
IPOs
5 min read
Over the past 10 years, Investec has earnt a reputation for delivering high quality IPOs with market leading returns. Drawing on this experience, we have put together a comprehensive morning conference to update you on the IPO market and explore the benefits of a public listing. We will reflect upon what has recently been a subdued backdrop for IPOs and look ahead to what we think will be a more positive listing environment.
You will hear from Sir Tim Martin (Founder and Chairman of JD Wetherspoon) on why he decided to float JD Wetherspoon for £45.6m in 1992, some benefits and challenges of being a listed company and why he has chosen to stay listed.
We’re eager to introduce you to three leading UK public market investors who regularly invest in IPOs: Andy Brough, Head of Pan-Europe Small & MidCap team at Schroders; Victoria Stevens, Partner at Liontrust; Richard Watts, Co-founder at Chrysalis Investment Partners. They will provide insights and debate across a variety of topics such as their approaches for assessing and valuing companies going public, advice for engaging with investors as part of the IPO journey and what it takes to succeed on the London markets.
After the conference, please join our investors for further discussions during the working lunch.
