Custody and Dealing Services
Ours is a fully-integrated execution-only securities dealing and custody service operated through our Guernsey office. Your relationship manager can easily pass your instruction onto our Guernsey office to effect direct purchases or sale orders who will execute them promptly on your behalf.
Our custody and dealing service lets you buy or sell equities, bonds, funds and unit trusts and hold portfolios in our nominee name. We take custody of the investments in your portfolio, but we don’t provide any discretion, nor investment advice.
Our Guernsey office will hold your money in a client-designated account, registered in the name of Investec Bank (Channel Islands) Nominees Limited, and each portfolio has its own unique and secure nominee number.
How custody and dealing works with Investec
To use this service, you’ll need to open an Investec bank account. This is an execution-only service for clients with a minimum portfolio value of £100,000 who wish to manage their own investments and maintain the safekeeping of their assets offshore.
Our custody and dealing solution is designed for clients who don’t need investment advice as part of the service. Your Isle of Man-based relationship manager can introduce you to the right colleague to advice on growing your wealth through our partnership with Investec Wealth & Investment (CI), now a part of Rathbones Group.
Our Isle of Man business is a representative office which means that the money you deposit and account(s) you open are with the bank in Guernsey. Your relationship manager remains based in the Isle of Man.

Investec Bank (Channel Islands) Limited is a participant in both the Guernsey Banking Deposit Compensation Scheme and the Jersey Bank Depositors Compensation Scheme. These Schemes offer protection for “qualifying deposits/eligible deposits” up to £50,000, subject to certain limitations.
