Investec advises Mayfair Equity Partners-backed Nasstar on its acquisition of KCOM’s National ICT Business

Nasstar (formerly GCI) is a converged ICT services provider, offering IT, connectivity, unified comms, hosting and data centre collocation services, with Microsoft, Vodafone and Cisco as key partners. Nasstar has an active M&A strategy, which has included Blue Chip Data Systems, Modality, and most recently the P2P of Nasstar for £81.5m.

Our role

Investec provided Mayfair Equity Partners-backed Nasstar with buyside M&A advice; leveraging its knowledge of the KCOM business from Investec’s previous role as joint financial advisor and broker to KCOM on its £627m take over by Macquarie. Investec also offered wider strategy and valuation analysis, as well as potential future exit planning for Mayfair of the enlarged Nasstar Group.
