ACIA Aero Leasing’s Master Revolving Credit Facility Agreement (RCF) with Investec Bank, has been named as a winner of an African Aviation Finance Award at the 2024 African Aviation Awards.

ACIA Aero Leasing, a prominent provider of regional aircraft leasing and lease management services, and Investec Bank have also recently upsized the RCF to include the addition of four regional aircraft to ACIA’s existing financed portfolio.

The RCF has grown to cover a diverse portfolio of 18 regional aircraft, including aircraft registered in South Africa, Cote d’Ivoire, Gabon, and Cape Verde, with these aircraft being recognised at the Awards.

The upsize adds an additional two ATR 72-500 bulk freighters that are being leased into Thailand and two ATR 72-200 Large Cargo Door (LCD) aircraft that are being leased into Australia. These additions will further strengthen ACIA's position as a leading player in the regional aircraft leasing industry.

For Investec, the expansion of the RCF further demonstrates its flexibility in providing funding solutions across different regions in both the passenger and freight segments and builds on a longstanding relationship with ACIA.

ACIA Aero Leasing is a subsidiary of ACIA Aero Capital (ACIA Group), is headquartered in Ireland, with offices in France, England, and South Africa. It has a portfolio of nearly 70 regional passenger and freighter aircraft on lease to operators in over 21 countries worldwide.

"We are proud to receive this award alongside Investec Bank in an important market for us,” said Mick Mooney, CEO of ACIA Aero Leasing, “And we are delighted to expand our credit facility with Investec Bank and add these four aircraft to our financed portfolio. The RCF continues to provide the flexibility we require to efficiently fund our growth ambitions.”

“We have a longstanding relationship with ACIA in what is a key market segment for us. We are pleased to be able to help ACIA as it grows its regional portfolio. It is an honour to again be recognised with a prestigious award for this transaction,” said Bradley Gordon, Head of Aviation Finance at Investec South Africa.
