Many of our clients in Scotland are personally invested in the private business sector or have made their wealth from private business ownership. So, we feel that it’s important that our firm remains deeply connected with this sector.

That’s why we’re proud to announce a partnership with ESM Investments Ltd. The Stirling-based company operates a syndicated investor group comprising 100+ individuals that meet every two months to consider investing in early growth stage technology companies located in Scotland and the North of England.

We’ve been informally working with ESM since 2019 when the company held some small, in-person events within the office. Following the success of these events, we connected formally to continue hosting their meetings in our offices and to provide a professional wealth advisory service to ESM’s investors and business connections.

As ESM Investments has clients across Scotland and the North of England, the partnership allows us to work collaboratively with our colleagues south of the border.

We held our first hybrid event in the Edinburgh office in March 2022, with half the attendees being in the room, and the other half attending virtually. The event was a great success, with attendees listening to a brief economic update from Investment Director Gary Laing, followed by pitches from two start-ups looking for additional investment. The feedback from ESM for the first event was very encouraging and being back in person was appreciated by all.
