With my team, I manage a range of discretionary multi-asset mandates for two teams within Investec Wealth & Investment. I work closely with our research department on asset allocation, fund selection and individual bond and stock selection, particularly within the UK equity market.
I started my career in wealth management in 2008 with Merrill Lynch in San Diego, California. I went on to work with a Dublin-based fixed income asset management, a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary, before joining the Bank of America Merrill Lynch graduate programme in London. During this period, I worked on BAML’s institutional client group’s European equity sales desk and within global investment solutions, covering equity, derivatives and foreign exchange. In 2012, I joined their discretionary portfolio management team within the wealth management division (later acquired by Julius Baer Group) where I managed multi-asset portfolios for high-net-worth clients, and progressed to co-lead their UK equity strategy.
I’m a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and was awarded the Investment Management Certificate by CFA UK in 2011. I also have a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours degree from University College Dublin.
