About me

Within Investec Wealth and Investment, I cover Fixed Income collectives research. My coverage is right across the credit spectrum from rates, corporates and through to structured credit. These can be invested anywhere in the world, while looking to provide both diversification and alpha to portfolios. Using both qualitative and quantitative research, to help distil down to the best-in-class managers who can perform through the credit cycle.

Background/Experience

I joined Investec Wealth & Investment in October 2022, working as a Research Analyst covering Fixed Income. I previously worked at Gale & Phillipson as an Investment Analyst for 6 years, where my role included fund research, maintaining client models, and sitting on the Investment Committee. I graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, and I am a CFA Charterholder. Alongside this, I hold the Investment Management Certificate and the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

I have completed multiple industry exams to help further my knowledge. These include being a CFA Charterholder, IMC and the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing. Alongside these, I have practical experience of both fund research and portfolio management.

As a result, I am more aware of the investment impact that research decisions have on both portfolio managers, as well as the end client. I also believe that these skills allow me to communicate better with portfolio managers, as to how we can help them implement investments, in Fixed Income, with the best-in-class funds.

My interests

In my spare time, I enjoy cycling and generally trying to keep fit. Otherwise, I am usually reading or out socialising with my friends.
