Investec’s Charities team strengthens presence with 3 appointments

Investec Wealth & Investment (“Investec”) is pleased to welcome Mark O’Connor, who joins as Business Development Director for Investec’s charities offering, alongside two new Investment Directors who moved from other private client teams within Investec: Tom Holbrook and Rhyanna Walton.

These appointments follow the promotion of Nicola Toyer, who became head of charities in March 2021.

Nicola commented:

“Our approach to managing investments is aligned with our core values as a business: we seek to live within society, not off it. Bringing Tom, Rhyanna and Mark into the team will help us to build on an already strong charities proposition and help our charity clients to create enduring worth with their investments.”

Mark joins from Epworth Investment Management, where he was Head of Business Development. At Investec, he will focus on working with charities to help them to make the most of their investments.

Rhyanna and Tom were previously investment managers in other parts of Investec. They both have active interests in ESG investing, and work closely with our research team to create bespoke portfolios that deliver clients’ investment needs in the context of their differing values and ethical views.

Nicola continued:

“Bringing talented people with specialist expertise into our team will help us to deliver even more value for our charities clients, and we will continue to grow our presence on a national basis over the months and years to come.”
