How we manage the investments

Experts overseeing your clients' investments

Our investment committee, comprised of senior investment managers, investment specialists, and our research team, oversees the investment process and makes sure that we are drawing on the highest quality resources. In addition, our asset allocation committee is responsible for reviewing the exposure to the asset classes that we invest in.

Extensive research capacity

Our goal is to build well-balanced funds from the universe of assets. The size and skill of our research team allow us to undertake comprehensive due diligence on various asset classes such as bonds, equities, and collective investments, e.g. unit trusts. This due diligence is carried out with the support of a number of formal committees.

Risk-managed investment selection

In selecting investments, we take into account the expected risk and return from each asset class and a number of other factors. We have a formal monitoring process designed to ensure that concentration of risk is controlled (i.e. that we are not overinvested in any particular industry, asset class, etc.) and that the quality of each fund is appropriate to its objective.

Frequently asked questions

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our team.

  • What are multi-asset funds?

Multi-asset funds are investment funds that invest in a diversified portfolio of different asset classes such as stocks, bonds, commodities, real estate, and currencies. The aim of these funds is to provide investors with exposure to a range of different assets that can help to spread risk and potentially deliver higher returns than investing in just one asset class.

  • What are the benefits of multi-asset funds?

There are many advantages to investing in multi-asset funds, including:

    • Diversification: One of the key advantages of investing in multi-asset funds is that they provide diversification across different asset classes. Investing in a diversified portfolio, as opposed to a single asset class or stock, can help mitigate risk and increase returns over time.
    • Access to a wider range of assets: Multi-asset funds are a great way to gain access to a wide range of assets. By investing in a multi-asset fund, you will be able to diversify your portfolio and gain exposure to different asset classes such as stocks, bonds, and cash.
    • Professional management: Our multi-asset funds are managed by a team of investment professionals who research the best mix of assets for the fund to invest in, carefully monitor the performance of the fund and make sure that the portfolio is balanced in order to reduce risk and maximise returns.
    • Low cost: Investing in multi-asset funds can be a great way to access a wide range of assets without having to pay the higher costs associated with individual stocks and bonds. In addition, when investing in a multi-asset fund you benefit from economies of scale; so you're able to access a portfolio of investments at a much lower cost than if you were to buy the same portfolio individually.
    • Liquidity: An attractive benefit of multi-asset funds is their high liquidity. Because the funds are invested in a range of assets, investors are able to quickly convert those assets into cash if necessary. This makes them ideal for investors who may need access to their money at short notice.
  • What are the costs or fees to invest in a multi-asset fund?

  • What documents/reporting will my client receive?

As an investor in the IW&I Fund Service, your client will receive a quarterly valuation statement every three months. If applicable, we will also provide an annual consolidated tax voucher. Your client can also log-in via our secure website and/or mobile app and check their investments at any time.

  • Can I split my client’s investment between more than one Fund?

Yes, you can invest in more than one IW&I Fund at a time and also switch between IW&I Funds whenever you like.

  • How can I find out more information about these services?

Simply get in touch with your local Business Development Director or contact us and we will arrange a time convenient for you to go through your query in more detail.
