About me

I am one of the investment directors managing the alternative investment market (AIM) and inheritance tax (IHT) investment plans for our clients. I have a wealth of experience in managing all asset classes with a specific focus on equity through direct share investing. I bring a financial analysis through a quantitative tools angle to ensure that we only invest in the best companies within our AIM/IHT plan.

Background/Experience

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Wealth Manager, coupled with over a decade of experience in the finance industry. After leaving the University of Southampton where I completed a BSc in Management Sciences with Accounting, I started within Ernst & Young's financial services auditing department. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, I landed a role within discretionary investment management where I was responsible for running money for private clients, pensions and trusts, with a specific focus on servicing both the Southern African and Middle Eastern markets. More recently joining Investec within the AIM division, I have a wealth of experience in identifying and investing in companies that meet our criteria. 

My interests

I am a keen rower and skier. Whilst the latter is a little more seasonal, the former keeps me in relatively good shape throughout the year. I have recently yearned a new interest in reading about history from a financial, political and social point of view.
