Notes
- International Titans Basket Ltd ('the Company') is a company registered in Guernsey and listed on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
- The participation rate is dependent on market conditions on trade date (the current participation rate is 125%). International Titans Basket Ltd reserves the right to trade a minimum participation rate of 115% if required due to market conditions on trade date.
- The investor’s capital, in US dollars, is protected if the investment is held to maturity. Structured products provide principal protection through the assumption of credit risk. They are intended for sophisticated investors who understand and accept the risks associated. In this case, capital protection is achieved by buying credit linked notes which will mature at 100% of investors’ capital. Principal protection is preserved to the extent that the issuer continues to honour any outstanding obligations and the Reference Entities (as described below) do not experience a Credit Event. A Credit Event is defined as: bankruptcy, failure to pay, restructuring, obligation acceleration, government intervention, and/ or repudiation/moratorium.
Issuer (Senior Unsecured Debt)
Investec Bank Limited
Reference Entities (Subordinated Tier 2 Obligations)
Five of the following eight Reference Entities will be selected on trade date: Barclays PLC, Deutsche Bank AG, Lloyds Banking Group PLC, Commerzbank AG, NatWest Group PLC, ING Group NV, UBS Group AG, and Royal Bank of Canada. 20% of the investor’s capital will be exposed to each of the selected Reference Entities. It should be noted that the international credit rating of the senior unsecured debt of the debt issuer, and the subordinated Tier 2 debt obligations of the Reference Entities will be rated as investment grade.
This payoff is neatly packaged in an offshore listed share (International Titans Basket Ltd) which can be purchased from:
- Offshore allowances (or any SARB approved allowance)
- Disclosed foreign assets
- International assets held by South African investors
- Foreign portfolio investment allowance (asset swap)
