Investec is delighted to have acted as Sole Financial Adviser, Nominated Adviser, Corporate Broker and Bookrunner to Cohort PLC in connection to its £75 million (AUD$144 million) acquisition of EM Solutions and associated £41 million fundraises.
£40 million has been raised by way of oversubscribed Placing of 4,571,428 new ordinary shares. Cohort proposes to use the net proceeds of the Placing to partly fund the cash consideration payable by the Company for the acquisition of EM Solutions – an Australia-based developer and producer of high-end SATCOM terminals for global naval and defence customers. There was also a retail offer of £1million.
The acquisition will enhance and diversify the Group’s proposition with a complementary defence communication offering whilst also accelerating its growth in a key strategic growth region.
