Sale of a majority stake in Groupe Allez to FCDE
Investec advised the Allez family on the sale of a majority stake in Groupe Allez to FCDE
About the deal
Founded in 1932, Groupe ALLEZ is a French specialist in energy services, operating on low and medium voltage electricity distribution network infrastructures on behalf of major clients such as Enedis and the Syndicats Départementaux de l’Énergie (its historical core business). Over time, the Group has expanded its offering into electrical engineering for the tertiary and industrial sectors, HVAC engineering, and more recently into energy transition solutions (electric vehicle charging, photovoltaic systems, etc.).
Currently chaired by Olivier Allez, the founder’s grandson, the Group employs nearly 1,400 employees and relies on a decentralised organisation of 49 sites mainly located in western France, reflecting a long-standing strategy of organic and external growth. The Group generated €234m in revenue in 2025.
With a loyal and diversified portfolio of more than 5,600 public and private clients, Groupe Allez has established itself as a strategic partner recognised for its agility, strong local presence and the quality of its design, installation and maintenance services.
Following a competitive process led by Investec, FCDE emerged as the ideal partner to support Groupe Allez’s next stage of growth. This transaction will enable Groupe Allez to further expand in a market structurally driven by the modernization of electrical infrastructure, rising electricity demand and the energy transition. It will also provide the Group with the resources to pursue an ambitious buy-and-build strategy aimed at diversifying its offering and expanding its geographic footprint.
