About me

As part of the fund management team, I have discretionary investment management responsibilities for a range of client portfolios. I have a particular focus on implementing investment strategies for charities, where I construct and manage bespoke portfolios to meet each charity's individual requirements. I also work closely with colleagues in the research team to identify suitable investments for inclusion in portfolios, which ensures the best possible outcomes for my clients. In addition to my investment management responsibilities, I am involved with the firm's overall investment process through memberships of the Fixed Interest Investment Selection Committee and the Equity Corporate Governance Committee.

Background/Experience

After a brief period working in the finance industry, I joined Investec in 2005. Working within investment management has given me experience of managing assets across a broad range of client types, including private clients, SIPPs, trusts and charities. I hold the Securities Institute Diploma and I'm a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Additionally, I graduated with a first class degree in Physics from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1999 and went on to complete a PhD in 2002.

My interests

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, cycling and hill walking in Snowdonia.
