About me

My priority is to create investment portfolios which are tailored to suit my clients' needs and meet their investment aims. I help build a tailored investment solution based on their current position, financial goals and future requirements. I also work closely with Investec’s financial planning team who can provide advice surrounding pension options, retirement planning, inheritance tax planning and life insurance, to provide the best possible solution for my clients. The majority of my relationships are with private clients but I also manage investment portfolios for trusts, charities and personal pensions.  

Background/Experience

I have over two decades of experience in investment management where I have formed close relationships with all my clients. Before joining Investec in 2009, I managed private client investment portfolios at the Bank of Scotland where I built extensive knowledge of the workings of the stock market, portfolio construction and harnessing client relationships.

Qualifications include: 

  • Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI)  
  • Chartered Wealth Manager  
  • Private Client Investment Advice & Management Level 6 Investment Management Certificate

My interests

Outside of work my time is spent mainly with my wife and children. Time permitting, we can be found in numerous locations round Scotland - although only when my son and I aren't following our football team.
