Grant Crosby
Head of Fund Solutions
Heads up the UK Fund Solutions business. Investec has built an international franchise which originates, structures and provides capital solutions to the private capital funds market (i.e. private equity, infrastructure, real estate and credit funds) from key geographies where we have expertise. The team is run out the UK and focusses on fund managers that invest in the UK, Europe and the USA, irrespective of where they are domiciled.
Grant has been with Investec for 15 years and has experience working in the Advisory, Leveraged Finance and now the Fund Solutions business.
Olivia Deroy
Fund Solutions
Olivia works with U.S. private capital sponsors to deliver structured financing solutions that support managers across the full fund lifecycle. Her experience spans GP and management company facilities, subscription lines, GP-led transaction financing and NAV-based lending solutions.
Olivia began her career at Investec in London, where she spent approximately four years, primarily within the Fund Solutions business. In 2022, she relocated to New York to join First Republic Bank before returning to Investec’s Fund Solutions team in 2023 as the business expanded into the U.S. market.
In her current role, Olivia focuses on supporting and helping to drive the expansion of Investec’s Fund Solutions business in the U.S. She holds an MSci in Management Science from University College London.
Matt Wilbur
Fund Solutions
Matt focuses on originating financing solutions for U.S. private capital sponsors, primarily across subscription facilities, GP commitment financings, GP-led transaction financings and NAV lending.
He brings specialist expertise in structuring complex transactions tailored to each fund’s needs and has recently structured ECL-backed and Tranche B facilities to provide additional liquidity to funds.
Prior to joining Investec, Matt was a member of the Equity Fund Resources team at Western Alliance Bank, where he worked across fund finance lending and the allocation of bank capital to funds. Matt holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of California, San Diego.
Sharon Thandi
Fund Solutions, New York
Sharon works with US private capital fund managers to deliver tailored financing solutions across subscription facilities, GP solutions, secondaries and NAV lending. She brings deep expertise in secondaries, having co-led Investec’s Fund Solutions secondaries strategy across the UK and Europe, executing global transactions before relocating to New York.
More recently, Sharon has focused on structuring subscription facilities, NAV facilities and continuation vehicle financings, supporting sponsors across a range of asset classes throughout the fund lifecycle and across evolving market conditions.
Sharon has more than 13 years of experience spanning fund finance, sponsor coverage and restructuring. She joined Investec’s Fund Solutions business in London in 2022 before relocating to New York to help spearhead the growth of the US platform. Prior to Investec, she spent a decade at Lloyds Banking Group. Sharon holds a BA in Economics and Politics from the University of Manchester.
Nokulunga Mdluli
Fund Solutions - Syndication
I work within the Syndications team at Investec responsible for syndicating products originated by Fund Solutions, and managing relationships with external lenders. I cover both Bank and Institutional investors across multiple geographies with appetite for our bespoke financing solutions including GP Facilities, Capital Call Facilities and NAV facilities. I have over 8 years of banking experience and prior to joining Investec in 2022, I worked in the Loan Syndications team at Standard Chartered Bank supporting multi-billion dollar syndicated transactions across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa for multi-national Corporates, Financial Institutions and Sovereign borrowers.
