I am responsible for investment strategy at Investec Wealth & Investment. I sit on a global committee that comes up with a risk score for investing over the following 12-18 months. The local asset allocation committee, which I head, then use that risk score combined with SA specific factors to come up with a SA risk score and recommended asset allocation. I also provide research input to both committees covering domestic macro factors and linkages with financial markets.
