Dr Taz Emeran-Thomas
Dr Taz Emeran-Thomas is a South African medical doctor, health activist and healthcare entrepreneur known for her work at the intersection of clinical care, innovation and social impact. A graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand, she has built a career focused on improving access to quality healthcare, particularly within underserved communities.
Drawing from her own lived experience, Dr Emeran‑Thomas is also a vocal advocate for teenage pregnancy prevention and the empowerment of young women in medicine. She is frequently invited to speak on leadership, purpose‑driven healthcare and system reform.
Dr Lethabo Machaba
Dr Lethabo Machaba is a respected South African Paediatric Specialist based at Netcare Sunninghill Hospital in Johannesburg. She holds qualifications from the University of Cape Town and the University of the Witwatersrand. She’s also completed her specialist training through the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. Her clinical work spans general paediatrics, neonatal intensive care and child wellness.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr Machaba is an author, entrepreneur and sought after speaker. She is the co author of Secrets of Super Powered Moms and the founder of The Business Side of Medicine, a platform that supports and connects healthcare professionals. Widely recognised for her compassionate, family-centred approach, she is passionate about empowering parents and advancing child health outcomes in South Africa.
Dr Angelo (Evangelos) Apostoleris
Dr Angelo Apostoleris is a South African Specialist Urologist with extensive experience across private practice, hospital leadership and healthcare strategy. He practices at Life Fourways Hospital and Cure Day Hospitals and is known for his patient-centred approach and commitment to evidence based care across the full spectrum of urological conditions.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Apostoleris has held senior leadership roles within the healthcare sector, including serving as a board chairman and clinical consultant. He is the founder of My Health for Men, an initiative focused on improving access to quality men’s healthcare through innovative delivery models, including telemedicine. His work reflects a strong focus on accessibility, innovation and health system sustainability.
