About me
I lead the fixed interest investment process, alongside my colleagues in the bond team, and contribute to a number of the decision-making investment committees including Global Investment Strategy Group, Asset Allocation and Investment Committee. I am the chairman of the recently formed Fixed Interest Investment Selection Committee, which provides model bond portfolios for various solutions. I also advise the company on its bank lending as part of the Cash & Credit Management Committee. I work with many of the largest institutional clients within the business including insurance companies, pension funds and charities. Our clients in these areas benefit from our expertise in asset-liability matching solutions and the provision of low volatility portfolios.
Background/Experience
I started my career as a fixed interest and cash fund manager at an ethical fund management group, with an emphasis on active engagement with investee companies on both investment and ethical considerations. This included work with organisations such as the Institutional Investors Group on climate change. Part of my career was spent trading UK mortgage portfolios with financial institutions on behalf of GMAC. I completed the Associate Society of Investment Professionals’ exams in 2000 and I am a member of the CFA.
My interests
Cycling is a passion outside of work. Walkers will often find me puffing my way (slowly) up Box Hill on a Sunday morning.
