About me
I am part of the team in the Leeds office that manages portfolios on behalf of individuals, trusts, charities, solvency II clients and self-invested pension plans (SIPPs), as well as dealing with investments held within offshore bond wrappers. I always seek to deliver a high level of client service by creating tailored and bespoke investment solutions, and building long lasting relationships along the way. This also involves working closely with other professional advisers, including independent financial advisers, solicitors and accountants.
Background/Experience
Since graduating with a BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry, I have also gained the professional qualification of the MSCI Diploma, leading to me to hold Chartered FSCI status. During my career with Investec, I have fulfilled a range of roles, including investment administration/settlements and a brief spell in the compliance team, as well as helping set up a start-up business for the group specialising in collective scheme administration (ultimately sold). This career progression has given me a rounded background in this sector of the wealth management industry and this, coupled with long-standing experience in managing portfolios for clients, has enabled me to provide the high level of efficient service that I endeavour to provide.
My interests
My main hobbies generally revolve around the great outdoors. I am a keen golfer and member of Shipley Golf Club in West Yorkshire (I was honoured to have been Captain for 2017). I have also followed Liverpool Football Club for as long as I can remember and have been a season ticket holder since 1987. I used to be a fell runner and remain a member of Clayton Le Moors Harriers (in East Lancashire), however my time on the fells is now spent more sedately and my wife and I enjoy walking and climbing in the mountains of the Lake District and Scotland.
