About me

As a paraplanner, I support the Financial Planners in helping clients to achieve their financial goals. I assist the Financial Planners with technical research and I write recommendation reports specific to each client's individual needs and financial objectives.

Background/Experience

I have been working in Financial Services since 2004, when I joined a local IFA firm, initially providing admin support to the director and three planners before moving into a paraplanning role. I joined Grant Thornton (which later became 1825) in 2011 where I progressed from paraplanner to a senior paraplanning role. I hold the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, and the Certificate in Life and Pensions which gives me a wide base of technical knowledge. Over the years, I have performed a wide range of different tasks as part of my role including coaching and training, project work, compliance, people management, which gives me a broad range of experience to help the planners in supporting our clients.

My interests

Under normal circumstances I love to travel both at home and abroad, and enjoy gigs, comedy and cinema. I love to cook (and eat out). We have a retired racing greyhound so we like to take him for long walks and experience the UK countryside. When I am not doing anything else, you will always find me with my nose in a book.
