As a Financial Planner, I believe that my role is to developing strategies to help you align your needs, values and your personal goals with every aspect of your finances. By developing a financial roadmap with you to include a breadth of financial planning activities, often to include cashflow models, I aim to inspire confidence to allow you to make informed choices about your short term goals and long term future. Whilst advice often comes under a banner of retirement or investment planning, inheritance tax planning strategies or transfer of wealth, what is important and indeed critical is the interaction between these specific areas, which can often lead to conflicting objectives. This is where my expertise lies and where I can add value to help you achieve your goals.
My career began with a 10-year stint working for several high street banks and building societies. I subsequently joined an actuarial and pension consultancy business as an independent financial adviser, where I gained experience in dealing with pensions and investment management. After 10 years in this role, I joined one of the world's largest networks of accountancy firms, where I advised high-net-worth individuals and business owners on financial planning at a personal and corporate level.
I’m a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, as well as a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Wealth Manager and Chartered Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute. I’m an Affiliate Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and am registered with the Personal Finance Society and CII as a "Later Life Specialist" and a "Retirement Planning Specialist". I have also completed a masters degree, achieving MSc Financial Planning and Business Management.
