  • Investec Tech Graduate Programme

    We are looking for young, aspiring software developers, data scientists, engineers and business analysts.

    Our Tech Grad Programme is for students in their final year of study, studying towards a tech/tech related degree. 

    We consider all institutions as well as people with under two years’ practical experience when assessing applications. 

    Tech grads will join us as a permanent member of a technology team within our Sandton office. 

    Exposure to on-the-job learning, partnered with a structured grad learning journey, will enable grads to start their career within our entrepreneurial, flat structured culture.

    Students studying toward the following degrees are invited to apply:

    • Bachelor of Science (BSc or BS) in Computer Science, Business Computing or Computer Engineering 
    • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Informatics or Information Systems
    • Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSc) in Information Systems/Computer Science
    • Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSc) in Data Science
    • All equivalent technology and engineering degrees will also be considered. 
  • Investec Quants Programme

    Through our two-year rotational programme successful candidates will gain valuable exposure   in the following areas and build a career in the broad world of Quants within specialised banking.

    • Model development | IRB, IFRS 9 and stress testing
    • Market risk, counterparty credit risk and XVA
    • Assurance | Model validation, internal audit
    • Balance sheet risk and capital management.

    Applications are open to post graduate honours and masters students pursuing qualifications in mathematics, statistics, applied mathematics or other Quants-related Bachelor’s degrees.

  • Property Risk Internship

    Candidates must be completing a degree in Property Studies or related property fields such as Quantity Surveying, Construction Management and Engineering.

    Successful candidates will get practical, on-the-job experience that is relevant to the property sector giving them a head-start in the industry. Candidates are expected to be involved in the greater team’s day-to-day activities and responsibilities.

  • Financial Investigation | Forensic Accounting Internship

    This programme offers graduates the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to various aspects of financial crime detection and prevention and develop a deep understanding of the financial industry's regulatory landscape.

    Applications are open to students in their final year of study, or post graduate studies, studying towards a Forensic Accounting degree or similar degree, with confident knowledge and understanding of FICA and FICAA regulations.

  • Investec Navigate

    During the programme students will experience Investec’s culture and the world of work.

    Successful candidates will learn about further graduate opportunities at Investec and can be shortlisted to a recruitment process to join Investec for our graduate roles and opportunities.

  • CA Programme

    Over six-month periods you rotate to different business areas locally and internationally. Our stimulating environment broadens and deepens your work experience, helping you to learn firsthand from the experts.  

    Consistently good academic performance is important, but we also look for people who know how to achieve a work-life balance. 

    Applications for our CA Programme open every year on 1 September and close 30 September; you need to be in the final year of your undergrad studying towards a SAICA accredited CA degree, with the intention to complete PGDA/CTA/Honours in Accounting the following year to apply.     Pathfinder is our exposure programme for students who are studying towards a CA degree; it is part of our CA Programme application process, so you would apply for this once you are eligible to apply for our CA Programme.

  • Client Support Center

    Graduates are invited to apply for an entry level positions, as client support bankers. The primary objective of the role is to create a personalised and exceptional client experience for Investec’s valued clients. As part of our CSC, you will be exposed to Investec's global products, client-centric services and develop the skills to communicate with Investec clients as you hone exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, while growing and co-creating your career journey. 

    A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
