Grant Crosby

Head of Fund Solutions

Heads up the UK Fund Solutions business. Investec has built an international franchise which originates, structures and provides capital solutions to the private capital funds market (i.e. private equity, infrastructure, real estate and credit funds) from key geographies where we have expertise. The team is run out the UK and focusses on fund managers that invest in the UK, Europe and the USA, irrespective of where they are domiciled.
 
Grant has been with Investec for 15 years and has experience working in the Advisory, Leveraged Finance and now the Fund Solutions business.

Oliver Bartholomew

Fund Solutions

I work with the Fund Solutions origination team to help support our existing clients and drive new opportunities. This includes assisting with funding requests and taking these through our credit process. I also help to guide clients through both the initial deal process and the deal management phases to ensure they’re well supported at all times.

Additionally, I work with the team on the portfolio and risk management side of the business.

Kate Bezuidenhout

I work within the Fund Solutions team focusing on developing, tailoring and managing bespoke financial solutions for funds and fund managers across private equity, infrastructure and real estate. I have been involved in providing solutions for each stage of the fund lifecycle, namely portfolio-based NAV lending facilities for funds, subscription facilities for funds and solutions to assist GPs with their co-invest.

Eloise Donovan

Fund Solutions

Working across the Deal Management and Origination teams, I assist throughout the life cycle of deals in providing a range of bespoke financing solutions such as capital call bridging, NAV facilities and GP financing to private equity funds and fund managers.

I have been with Investec since April 2020 and have a background in risk management.

Vitali Druzinin

Fund Solutions

I lead Investec’s distribution efforts across Fund Solutions product set. I’m responsible for managing existing as well as developing new relationships with institutional and banking counterparties which alongside Investec support liquidity needs of funds and fund managers by providing capital for transactions originated by the team.

I’m also a member of the Investment Committee that helps identify opportunities which could be of interest to our lending partners.

Libby Eastman

I provide personal assistance to our global head of Fund Solutions and also support the Fund Solutions team. I’m responsible for diary and email management, travel arrangements and preparing and processing documentation. I also work closely with the marketing and events team to help develop and deliver exceptional events and communications to our clients.

Max Glanz

Fund Solutions

My role in Fund Solutions is to support both the origination and the relationship management teams in providing innovative leverage solutions to GPs and Funds. I've worked on a variety of products across the fund lifecycle, including subscription facilities, GP facilities, NAV financing and GP-led secondaries.

I joined Investec in 2020 as a CA(SA) trainee in South Africa, before joining Fund Solutions in 2022.

Helen Griffiths

Head of Structuring

My role within the team is one that enables, advises and mitigates legal risk for both our clients and Investec. Using my experience from state practice, I’m responsible for structuring, negotiating and managing deals across multiple business models and different jurisdictions.

My participation in the initial structuring of deals and the guidance that I add as they progress through the credit and documentation stages, allows the team to provide a streamlined service for clients, providing them with holistic and seamless financing solutions. 

Clients can benefit from working with a team that has an experienced, involved and innovative embedded legal team. This helps to ensure that deals are run efficiently by skilled, solution driven people.

By working on transactions from the outset, I have a good understanding of our clients’ needs and their broader market challenges. This ensures that I can provide relevant legal advice and input that’s appropriate throughout our commercial relationship. 

I am a point of contact for our clients and can help with queries they may have from a legal and deal management perspective.

Jonathan Harvey

Jonathan is one of the original members of the Fund Solution team and has bene involved directly in its strategic development since inception. During this time, Jonathan has been responsible for setting up the European Fund Solution business and developing the Capital Call product. Jonathan currently heads up the relationship management function within the Fund Solution’s team, with responsibility for providing the full Fund Solutions product set to the existing client base.
 
Jonathan has been with Investec for 15 years and has experience working in the Structured Property Finance, Specialised Lending and the Fund Solutions business.

Thomas Hudson

My role in the UK Fund Solutions team is to provide a range of flexible leverage solutions to funds and fund managers across private equity, secondaries and other fund strategies.

I have been involved in providing solutions for each stage of the fund lifecycle, namely subscription facilities, financing GP-led transactions for continuation vehicles, NAV facilities for funds as well as solutions to assist GPs with their co-invest. Our aim is to help clients improve returns, optimise balance sheets, create liquidity and facilitate opportunistic transactions.

I work in the Fund Solutions team, focused on developing strategic distribution programs and enhancing the teams execution platform.

I’ve been with Investec for 17 years, and have experience in leading business enablement teams supporting multiple lending sectors.

Stuart Ingledew

Working in the UK Fund Solutions team, I provide a range of flexible financing solutions to private equity funds and fund management teams. I work with a range of primary, secondary and fund of funds based throughout the UK and Europe to provide GP facilities, capital call facilities, concentrated NAV facilities and secondary leverage. My aim is to help clients improve returns, optimise balance sheets, create liquidity and facilitate opportunistic transactions.

Additionally, I am working on the concentrated NAV financing strategy, which will enable third party investors the opportunity to gain exposure to the concentrated NAV financing product.

Shafeen Janif

I joined the Investec Fund Solutions team in 2021 as legal counsel and my primary focus is on deal structuring, negotiation and deal execution. I also support clients as a point of contact for any legal and deal management queries. Working with funds based in the UK and internationally, I have been involved in a broad range of financing transactions including subscription facilities, GP financing solutions to fund co-invest and portfolio-based NAV lending facilities, and supporting our clients through the various stages of the fund lifecycle.

Thomas Jewers

I have around 3 years of Fund Finance experience, supporting UK and Western European Mid-Market Funds across the following sectors: Infrastructure, Renewables and Private Equity. Across these sectors I have provided an end-to-end Fund Finance offering, from origination and structuring through to deal execution.

Moreover, I also have experience working in Structured Finance, working within the Specialist Asset Finance and Large Corporate Real Estate Finance Teams.

I work with the UK and Europe focussed side of the Fund Finance team to maintain and grow existing client relationships and to drive new opportunities. This includes supporting funds through all stages of their lifecycle and providing our clients with innovative and flexible financing solutions, including capital call bridging, general partner financing and portfolio NAV financing.

Hannah Lynskey

I joined Investec in September 2016, first within Investec Asset Finance as a data analyst but looking for a new challenge internally, I then moved on to join the Fund Solutions desk in March 2021. I now work in the New Facility Request (NFR) team, supporting our clients from the moment a request comes in, through to funding. My responsibilities span the credit and the execution process for NFRs, liaising between all our key stakeholders.

I focus on bespoke solutions for GPs and Funds covering each stage of the fund lifecycle and multiple layers of the capital structure. This includes providing a range of products such as portfolio-based NAV facilities, subscription facilities and facilities to assist GPs with their co-invest. My aim is to help clients improve returns, optimise balance sheets, unlock liquidity and facilitate opportunistic transactions. Prior to Investec, I worked in financial advisory and debt solutions providing structured facilities to UK & European corporate clients.

Laura Moss

An experienced corporate lending lawyer, with over nine years post-qualification experience gained in private practice and in-house across various lending products, including fund finance and leveraged finance. Works alongside the commercial team to negotiate and execute lending transactions, whilst ensuring the bank’s legal risk is managed appropriately.

Victor Ovensehi

I joined Investec in October 2019 through the Corporate & Investment Banking graduate scheme and rotated with various teams around the bank. After that, I rolled off into the UK Fund Solutions team at the beginning of 2021 as an analyst on our New Facility Requests team. My primary responsibility lies in supporting the team with managing the execution process for new facility requests, credit analysis, and monitoring our existing client fund performances.

My primary focus is on the syndication of deals across all product types within the Fund Solutions desk. This syndication leg of the team enables Investec to remain competitive in arranging larger facilities by partnering with institutional capital, as well as other banks. Apart from ensuring our existing relationships are growing, I also assist in sourcing new capital to meet increasing financial needs of our GPs.

Nicola Rodrigues

I am responsible for developing and executing bespoke financing solutions for both funds and fund managers. This includes providing solutions for each stage of the fund lifecycle, including capital call bridging, GP and portfolio NAV financing across private equity, infrastructure and real estate.

Prior to Investec, I worked in Transaction Services assisting private equity firms on both buy and sell side financial due diligence. I hold a Bachelor of Business Science (Finance and Accounting) Honours degree from the University of Cape Town in South Africa.

Nick Rusling

Fund Solutions

Nick joined Investec in 2016 and has focussed on articulating the risk/reward profile of fund finance to institutional investors/rating agencies and structuring loans for distribution. He is also responsible for the portfolio. Prior to joining Investec he worked at Barclays in the Debt Finance team originating in both Leveraged Finance and Corporate transactions. Nick studied History and Cambridge University.

Michael Slane

Working within Investec Fund Solutions the team and I provide a breadth of financing and risk solutions to the funds sector including private equity, real estate, private credit and the investors in alternative assets. I’ve been with Investec since 2009, firstly in the fixed income business before launching Investec’s Risk Solutions offering for Financial Institutions in 2016 and moving into my current role as Co-Head of Origination in 2019.

Cameron Slater

As a part of the UK Fund Solutions team, I facilitate the provision of flexible debt solutions to suit both funds and their management teams. This includes leverage for private equity, secondaries, infrastructure, and real estate fund strategies.

In my role I am able to work across deal teams in an origination capacity and to help unlock value for existing clients. I have been able to work on transactions across the fund lifecycle, including subscription facilities, NAV financing, GP-facilities, and GP-led secondary opportunities.

Victoria Stark

Working in the UK Fund Solutions desk, I focus on supporting the team deliver bespoke solutions across the entire product suite offered to both existing and new clients. This includes assessing funding requests for capital call bridging, general partner financing and portfolio NAV financing; driving these requests through our credit process; and assisting in the execution of financing solutions.

I have been involved in providing solutions across various Private Equity and Real Estates Funds.

Sharon Thandi

Fund Solutions

I focus on origination within the Fund Solutions business and the Private Equity Secondaries strategy, supporting clients with their financing needs across various products such as capital call facilities, GP facilities, NAV-based lending and bespoke debt financing structures. I work with a range of clients across the private markets asset classes across Europe and the US.

I have over 10 years of banking experience and prior to joining Investec in 2022, worked at Lloyds Bank undertaking roles in their Fund Financing, Sponsor Coverage and Restructuring businesses. I graduated from the University of Manchester having studied BA Economics and Politics.
