Anupam Sharma
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Anupam joined Investec’s Energy & Infrastructure Finance team in December 2021 and leads origination for UK and Europe, building and deepening Energy & Infrastructure Finance’s relationships with sponsors, investors, and other key stakeholders. Anupam joined Investec from BNP Paribas, where he worked for 11 years, most recently as the Head of Energy, Resources & Infrastructure financing syndicate for EMEA. He has 20 years of diverse experience in origination, structuring, and execution of energy and infrastructure transactions across financing, advisory, and capital markets. Anupam has arranged / advised on more than EUR 15bn of infrastructure financing transactions across EMEA.
Sarah Aitken
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Sarah joined Investec’s Energy & Infrastructure Finance team in 2021 as a senior banker and will focus on portfolio management. Sarah has over 20 years experience as a portfolio manager of project finance transactions across a broad range of sectors in power and infrastructure. Sarah was a Director in the Infrastructure & Energy portfolio management team at Lloyds Banking Group for 10 years.
Robbie Coulson
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Robbie joined Investec’s Energy & Infrastructure Finance team in February 2025, having previously spent 5 years at Operis in their financial advisory and modelling team with a focus on providing financial modelling and advisory services to private clients in the project finance sector. During this time, Robbie has worked on projects within social infrastructure, transportation, telecommunications, and renewable energy. Robbie has advisory experience in greenfield financing, refinancing of long-term debt instruments and swap restructuring. He is a CFA Charterholder and has graduated from University College London with a first class Masters Degree in Mathematics.
Steven Cowland
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Steven joined Investec in 2006 and is currently a legal director embedded within the UK E&IF team where he advises the bank on the structuring and execution of energy and infrastructure lending transactions and how to manage and mitigate any legal risks. Following financial close, Steven also provides legal advice to the portfolio team and the bank’s credit committee on transactions throughout their lifecycle (including restructurings) until redemption. Steven has also advised several other desks at Investec in deal structuring, negotiation and execution across multiple jurisdictions, capital stack and products. Steven is an English qualified solicitor and holds an LLB from the University of Kent.
Antonio Cravo
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Antonio joined Investec's Energy & Infrastructure Finance team in December 2021, having previously spent 9 years as a Project Finance Director at Standard Chartered Bank where he was responsible for originating and executing financings and advisory mandates for large and mid-market corporates. Prior to this role, Antonio worked for Arup as a Civil Engineer in the infrastructure and transportation sectors. Antonio holds an MSc degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA from London Business School.
Arhana Samant Dhariwal
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Arhana joined the Energy and Infrastructure team in 2024, bringing valuable experience from her previous role in Investec India’s private credit platform. With a strong background in fixed income and credit markets, she began her career at Barclays before transitioning to Investec. Arhana possesses a diverse skill set across the deal spectrum, including origination support, investment analysis, credit due diligence, portfolio management, and syndication support. She is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies from Mumbai University.
Ricus Goussard
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Ricus joined Investec in 2014 and has spent time in Investec’s Energy & Infrastructure Finance teams in Johannesburg, New York, and London in both the lending and syndication functions.
He has worked on transactions across the capital stack and across technologies including utility scale gas and renewables, rooftop solar portfolios, and infrastructure sub-sectors.
Ricus is a CFA charterholder and is a South African chartered accountant (CASA).
Shelagh Kirkland
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Shelagh Kirkland works in the lending team. She has broad experience and provides initial and ongoing client support ranging from covenant monitoring, financing requests and satisfying information and compliance requirements. Shelagh holds a BSc in Geography and Geology from St Andrew’s University and is an English Chartered Accountant.
Vishal Maru
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Vishal joined Investec in 2017 and supports Investec’s syndication efforts working on infra deals incl. thermal power, renewable energy and digital deals. He has over 10 years of experience working for investment banks. Vishal is a qualified accountant and holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from De Montfort University.
Robbie McColl
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Robbie joined Investec’s Energy & Infrastructure Finance team in July 2024. His focus is on origination and execution within the UK and Europe with an emphasis on developing and further strengthening Investec’s relationships with sponsors and investors. Prior to joining Investec Robbie was a Senior Investment Director at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management where he was responsible for originating, executing and managing infrastructure debt investments on behalf of institutional clients. He has experience across sectors, particularly in the transport, digital and energy transition space, and across the capital stack covering both senior and subordinated credit. Robbie is a qualified accountant (ACA) and holds a BA in History & Politics from Oxford University.
Edouard Picard
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Edouard joined Investec's Energy & Infrastructure Finance team at the beginning of 2022 from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where he was a Principal Banker in the Sustainable Infrastructure team. He has been working in banking since 2014, focusing on the origination and execution of debt and equity transactions in the energy and infrastructure sector in Europe and emerging markets. Edouard holds MSc degrees from Imperial College London (UK) and Ecole des Mines Nancy (France).
William Rickett
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
William joined the Energy & Infrastructure Finance team in 2021 having previously worked for a boutique debt advisor, executing renewable energy and digital infrastructure transactions. Prior to this he worked in the Government and Infrastructure Advisory team at Grant Thornton, providing financial modelling and analytics on both public and private transactions.
Jaspreet Sokhi
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Jaspreet joined Investec’s Energy & Infrastructure Finance team in February 2026, focusing on the management, optimisation and value enhancement of a diversified portfolio.
Prior to this, he spent over five years at MUFG within their Project Finance Portfolio & Asset Management team, where he managed a portfolio of power, renewables and infrastructure assets, playing a key role in refinancing transactions and identifying cross-sell opportunities to support clients across a broader range of financing solutions.
He also spent time in MUFG’s Credit Exposure Solutions team, providing structuring support on new transactions. He began his career at Santander in securitisation and credit risk roles.
Brent Wheeldon
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Brent joined Investec in 2026, following three years at Société Générale in their Energy Finance & Advisory team in London. Prior to this, he worked in ING Bank’s Energy Project Finance team. He has experience advising and arranging greenfield transactions across the energy sector, including battery energy storage systems, solar PV, offshore wind, carbon capture and petrochemicals. He holds an MSc in Finance from Bayes Business School and a BSc in Mathematics & Economics from the University of Nottingham.
Eoghan Farrell
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Eoghan joined Investec in 2026, following roles at AIB Climate Capital and AIB Capital Markets, where he worked in the mezzanine finance team. During this time, he focused on originating, structuring and executing complex debt financings across infrastructure, renewable energy and real estate.
He has experience across a broad range of financing solutions, including NAV facilities, holdco financings, mezzanine debt, unitranche and project finance transactions for infrastructure and renewable energy funds, as well as private equity sponsors.
Eoghan holds an MSc in Finance and a BA in Accounting and Finance from Dublin City University.
Finn Dowley
Energy & Infrastructure Finance
Finn joined Investec’s Energy & Infrastructure Finance team in April 2026, having previously worked in the infrastructure advisory team at Macquarie Capital, working on both M&A and debt advisory mandates across infrastructure sub-sectors. Prior to this, he was in the Infrastructure & Project Finance team at Lloyds Bank. Finn is a chartered accountant (ACA) and holds a BA in History & Spanish from Manchester University.
