Alliance Trust PLC

Following a strategic review by Witan Investment Trust PLC, Alliance Trust PLC and Witan Investment Trust PLC have entered into heads of terms for a combination of the two companies to create Alliance Witan PLC.

The combination will be the largest ever conventional equity investment trust combination and it will result in Alliance Witan PLC having net assets of over £5 billion with expected FTSE 100 inclusion.

Our role

Investec is acting as Lead Financial Adviser, Sole Sponsor and Corporate Broker to Alliance Trust PLC on the proposed £5 billion combination with Witan Investment Trust PLC.
