DAH Gruppe and Igneo Infrastructure Partners

Our role

Investec successfully closed a €220m, 7-year senior debt financing package for DAH Gruppe (“DAH”). Proceeds will be used to optimize DAH ‘s capital structure and to fund capex associated with the upgrade of existing plants to increase biomethane production and for the acquisition of other biogas plants.

Investec Bank Plc, in partnership with Investec Bank Limited, anchored a meaningful amount of the total debt commitments and associated interest rate hedging.

This transaction is the first deal between E&IF, DAH and Igneo Infrastructure Partners (“Igneo”) and marks our second deal in the German bioenergy space, over the last 12-months.

About DAH

DAH is an integrated energy company with around 400 employees that produces gas, electricity and heat from renewable energy sources. Headquartered in Oranienburg, Brandenburg, the company manages more than 22,000 hectares of agricultural land and operates 23 biogas plants within a radius of around 200 kilometers around Berlin. The biogas plants have an electrical connected load of more than 55 megawatts and supply around 500,000 people with CO2-neutral energy.
