Our role

Mainova WebHouse is a Frankfurt-based data centre (DC) operator deploying efficient and sustainable DCs in Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region. The Frankfurt DC cluster is a key facilitator of digitalisation in Europe with the largest internet node in the world in terms of data throughput. The company has a focus on using local suppliers, renewable energy and recycling waste heat to benefit the local area.

The financing package will support MWH in deploying their pipeline of projects with an IT load of over 200MW. MWH’s pipeline will further develop Frankfurt’s DC ecosystem with highly energy efficient facilities and high-density designs to make optimal use of available space.

Mainova WebHouse was founded by regional utility provider, Mainova AG, and has recently received investment from a BlackRock infrastructure fund.

About Mainova WebHouse

Mainova WebHouse, founded in 2020, specialises in the planning, construction and operation of especially sustainable data centres. A design optimised for the Frankfurt market and its climate conditions allows for a particularly space-saving and energy-efficient construction method. Mainova WebHouse puts a strong focus on the extraction of waste heat for CO²-neutral heating of the surroundings, in order to make a measurable contribution to the transition in heating technologies.
