Our role

Our UK Energy and Infrastructure Finance team has successfully closed a £240 million Revolving Credit Facility for SDCL Energy Efficiency Income Trust PLC (“SEEIT”), managed by Sustainable Development Capital LLP (“SDCL”). The transaction underscores our commitment to supporting innovative financing solutions in sustainable sectors and marks another significant milestone in our long-standing relationship with SEEIT, a UK-listed company investing exclusively in the energy efficiency sector.

We structured the financing and managed the entire process with lenders in close collaboration with SDCL. We also provided an anchor balance sheet commitment, while utilising its market knowledge and reach to raise the balance of the financing quantum. In addition, our holistic service offering included foreign exchange and interest rate hedging support.

The transaction comprised the upsizing of SEEIT’s fund-level Revolving Credit Facility to £240 million, which will serve to bolster both SEEIT and SDCL's continued growth as market leaders in energy efficiency across geographies.

The SEEIT portfolio is large and diversified, with a focus on delivering energy efficient solutions to industry, transport customers, and buildings in the US, the UK, and Europe.
