Our role

Investec Direct Lending has provided senior debt facilities on a bilateral basis to support Triple Private Equity’s (“Triple”) acquisition of SmartSearch, a leading UK based Regulatory Tech SaaS platform provider.

Investec was able to provide certainty of delivery efficiently for a flexible debt package in support of Triple’s first investment from their maiden fund. We are therefore excited to work with the team at Triple and look forward to building a successful long-term partnership.

Founded in 2011, SmartSearch is a leading UK provider of digital compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) software to more than 7,000 clients across regulated verticals. The Company is headquartered in Leeds, and employees c. 200 FTE across the UK.

About Triple Private Equity

Recently established and spearheaded by Mads Hansen and Ben Shepherd, London based Triple pursues lower mid-market control investments in B2B data and software businesses across finance, risk, and compliance sectors in the UK and Scandinavia. The acquisition of SmartSearch marks the first investment made by Triple’s inaugural Fund I.
