Investec provided a hedging facility on 100% of its revenue. Investec also have been proactive in sharing structures that best suit Somerdale’s needs.
The Deal
About three quarters of Somerdale’s sales are derived in non-sterling currencies. Its cost base is largely fixed and tends to be sterling based. Somerdale had to ensure that sales come through at the right price in sterling terms.
About TFS
Somerdale is the leading exporter of British cheeses and dairy products. It works with cheese producers from across the UK to package and sell cheeses into international markets.
