Fund Solutions supports Sun European Partners (“SEP”) with their first Capital Call Facility
Our role
Our UK Fund Solutions team is pleased to have acted as Arranger and Lender on a new €200 million Lending Framework for Sun European Partners' ("SEP") second fund, SEP Fund II. Leveraging our syndication strategy and access to substantial pools of capital, we crafted a bespoke solution that gives SEP capital certainty and flexibility from day one, with a structure that scales alongside the fund as it grows.
While this is the first transaction completed by our Fund Solutions team for SEP, it deepens a relationship that already spans multiple areas of the bank. Our Direct Lending business has worked alongside the SEP team for around 20 years, completing seven debt financings together, and our wider franchise has supported the team across M&A and Treasury Risk Solutions.
This capital call facility extends that partnership into fund finance, demonstrating the depth of Investec's product offering and our ability to support a client across the full lifecycle of their business.

Sun European Partners LLP was established in 2004 as the European advisory affiliate of U.S.-based Sun Capital Partners, Inc. — a leading private investment firm founded in 1995 that has invested in over 570 companies worldwide and raised more than $14 billion across eight funds. In 2024, SEP agreed a consensual spin-out from Sun Capital to become an independent manager, led by co-Managing Partners Paul Daccus and Alexander Wyndham, supported by an experienced operational value-creation team.
The firm focuses exclusively on a buy-and-build strategy in the mid-market services sector, primarily across the UK and Northern Europe, working hands-on with management teams to drive operational improvement.
