Our role

Our UK Corporate Broking & Investment Banking team is delighted to have acted as Sponsor, Global Co-ordinator and Sole Bookrunner to Videndum plc on its oversubscribed £85 million equity raise.

The fundraise was conducted by way of a firm placing of 30,186,315 shares at a placing price of 270p per share (post share consolidation) raising gross proceeds of £85 million, in conjunction with a placing of 1,295,167 shares together with an open offer to qualifying shareholders of up to 1,295,167 shares.

Alongside the equity raise, lenders are contributing meaningfully through debt reduction and a reset of the firm’s existing funding package, leaving Videndum with a more sustainable capital structure to support its operations.

Investec is proud to have supported Videndum’s management team for more than 14 years, including raising £125 million for the company in November 2023 and a further £8 million in April 2025. This most recent equity raise was, again, underwritten by Investec, providing certainty of funds to deliver a decisive refinancing and put in place a prudent, sustainable capital structure. This positions Videndum to execute its strategy and capitalise on the recovery in end-market demand.

The equity raise was, again, significantly oversubscribed and was upsized from £70 million to £85 million, driven by strong demand from institutional investors. Given the company’s market capitalisation of approximately £10 million, the scale of the raise highlights substantial investor confidence in its growth strategy.
