Giles co-founded Zopa in 2004, became its CEO in 2007, served as Chairman 2015 to 2019 and remains an active board member. He also sits as a non-executive director on the Boards of both Bank of Ireland and C. Hoare & co, so has a fairly unique perspective of both challenger and incumbent Banks, and the different cultures and challenges of each. Prior to this, Giles had built and sold a motor retailer. He currently chairs CarWow.
