Our Direct Lending Sustainability Report 2025 shows how we're strengthening transparency, expanding sustainability data across our portfolio and embedding responsible investment practices to support better long-term outcomes for investors, businesses and communities.
Responsible lending in practice
In 2025, Investec Direct Lending continued to strengthen its responsible investment approach as the platform grew to €3.8 billion of assets under management across three European private credit funds and 145 portfolio companies.
This year's report highlights meaningful progress, including:
- expanding sustainability data coverage by 25% year on year to 51 portfolio companies
- broadening reporting across three portfolios
- enhancing our climate-related disclosures with more comprehensive portfolio metrics
- strengthening independent verification of sustainability-linked financing
- becoming a UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) signatory.
Together, these developments provide investors with greater transparency while helping portfolio companies strengthen their sustainability practices and create long-term value.
