About me
My priority is to help my clients achieve their financial goals in a tax efficient way, whilst looking to generate the best investment returns from their assets. I work closely with each client to build a tailored financial plan, based on their current position and financial goals, which will deliver the best outcome for their present and future needs. I then implement that plan, investing their funds according to their risk profile and investment preferences. Looking after both International and UK private individuals, I concentrate on their personal investments, pensions, ISAs, offshore bonds and family trusts, specialising in the management of multi-asset investment portfolios. This includes utilising both onshore and offshore investment platforms. My primary focus has and will always be to provide an excellent service to my clients and their professional advisers.
Background/Experience
After graduating from Leeds University in Art History, I started my career as a graduate trainee at Sotheby’s. I then moved to one of the oldest private Swiss banking firms, Mirabaud Securities, before joining HSBC Global Asset Management in 2001 as an associate investment director, where I worked for seven years in the discretionary wealth management division. In 2008, I joined Investec as a investment director, managing private client portfolios. Along with having over two decades of experience in financial services, I am also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), FCA registered, and hold the diploma qualifications in both Securities & Investments and Financial Planning.
My interests
At weekends I can often be found tending to my overgrown garden in Sussex, with the support of my wife, three children, dog, cat, and goldfish. I enjoy playing tennis and squash and I have recently joined Haslemere Hockey club. Skiing, walking, country pursuits and paddle boarding are also some of my passions. Additionally, I have enjoyed raising money for various charities through endurance events such as running ultra-marathons, kayaking down the Thames or walking the three peaks with my daughter. In the City, I am a liverymen of the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers.
