Investec further strengthens its Asset Finance capability in the Channel Islands
- Investec has operated in the Channel Islands since 1998 and recently reopened its refurbished Guernsey office
- Clients continue to access a broad range of banking, lending and specialist finance solutions through Investec and its strategic partnership with Rathbones
Investec Bank (Channel Islands) Limited (Investec) announces the appointment of FJ Eigelaar as Managing Director of another Investec Group entity, Investec Asset Finance (Channel Islands) Limited (‘IAFCI’). FJ has also joined the IAFCI Board, supporting the ongoing development of Investec’s asset finance offering across the Crown Dependencies.
IAFCI’s team has operated in the Crown Dependencies since 2017, with offices in Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. The team works with privately owned companies to support business growth and provide stability through tailored funding solutions that help manage cash flow, reduce upfront costs and finance essential equipment. IAFCI develops solutions shaped around each client’s specific needs, supporting a wide range of requirements — from insurance premium funding and vehicle finance to IT infrastructure, business space refits, essential equipment and machinery, as well as aviation and marine assets. This breadth of support enables businesses to invest in the tools and infrastructure they need to grow with confidence.
For more than 25 years, Investec has been part of the Channel Islands community and continues to invest and grow its presence across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. Asset Finance forms part of the Investec Group’s wider integrated offering that includes private banking and lending for individuals, family offices and financial intermediaries. Wealth management services are available through its long-term strategic partner, Rathbones. This ensures clients benefit from the full breadth of Investec’s expertise and connections across the Crown Dependencies.
FJ has been with Investec since 2008, holding senior roles across the business, most recently as Head of Client Group Funding. His experience in delivering financing solutions for private companies closely aligns with Investec’s ambition to strengthen the asset finance services available to clients in the islands.
Beyond financial services, Investec plays an active role in supporting community, cultural and environmental initiatives across the Crown Dependencies. Current partnerships include the Guernsey Mind 10km Fun Run, the Food for Families Project and CSR programmes with La Société Guernesiaise, Jersey Mencap and the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. The teams also support the Macmillan Jersey Cycle Challenge and The Children’s Centre annual golf competition on the Isle of Man.

In January 2022, Investec moved into a new, expanded office in Jersey. In May 2025, the firm recognised the reopening of its refurbished Guernsey office on Glategny Esplanade — an event attended by Fani Titi, Investec Group’s Chief Executive Officer — underscoring the firm’s continued commitment and providing an enhanced space for clients and colleagues across the Channel Islands.
