Investec strengthens its Jersey Private Client team with senior appointments

  • Team expansion supports a partnership-led, bespoke approach for high-net-worth clients

Investec Bank (Channel Islands) Limited (Investec) today announces the appointment of Rob Duarte in Private Client Business Development, Jersey, alongside the internal appointment of Alex Macaione as a Relationship Manager within the Private Client team. Alex joins Relationship Manager Susie Ryan, strengthening Investec’s day-to-day relationship coverage for clients in Jersey. These appointments reflect Investec’s continued investment in Jersey and its focus on building long-term partnerships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients across the island.

Rob’s role focuses on building new high-net-worth private client relationships in Jersey, working closely with entrepreneurs, family offices, professionals and intermediary partners. He supports clients at the outset of their relationship with Investec, ensuring a considered introduction to the bank and its broader capabilities across banking, lending and wealth solutions, aligned to individual circumstances and long-term objectives.

Clients are supported on an ongoing basis by Relationship Managers Alex Macaione and Susie Ryan. Acting as the primary points of contact, they work in close partnership with clients and their advisers to understand priorities and adapt solutions as needs evolve over time. This team-based model enables a personalised approach, providing continuity, access to specialist expertise and long-term support aligned to each client’s personal and financial objectives.

Alex’s appointment represents an internal move designed to further strengthen the Jersey Private Client team and reflects Investec’s commitment to developing talent from within the organisation. Working alongside Susie, Alex plays a central role in maintaining close, long-standing relationships with clients and their advisers.

Rob brings more than 20 years’ experience across international banking and investment-related roles, having worked in the UK, the US and Jersey. He has held senior business development positions supporting high-net-worth private clients, family offices and professional intermediaries, combining international expertise with strong local market knowledge.

Emily Dawson, Head of Private Clients at Investec Bank (Channel Islands) Limited, said: “These appointments reinforce our partnership-led approach to serving high-net-worth clients in Jersey. In Rob, Alex and Susie we have a team who work closely with clients over the long term, adapting support as needs change and acting as trusted points of contact. Our teams deliver a bespoke service tailored to individual client circumstances, built on continuity, collaboration and a strong understanding of clients’ priorities. Investec is deeply invested in the island and in the clients and advisers it supports here.”

Rob Duarte, Private Client Business Development, Jersey, said: “Investec is known in Jersey for its long-term commitment to clients and its relationship-led culture. I look forward to working closely with colleagues across the Private Client team to introduce clients to Investec and ensure they benefit from a personalised, relationship-driven experience as their partnership with the bank develops.”

The appointments build on recent award recognition for Investec in the Channel Islands. In January 2026, Emily Dawson, Head of Private Clients, was named Private Banker of the Year - Channel Islands & Isle of Man at the Citywealth International Financial Centres Awards. This followed Investec being recognised as Overall Private Bank at the WealthBriefing Channel Islands Awards in December 2025.

Investec has operated in the Channel Islands for more than 25 years, providing private banking, tailored lending and specialist finance solutions to high-net-worth individuals, family offices and professional intermediaries across Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. Clients benefit from direct access to experienced local teams, supported by the wider Investec Group’s international network.
