A collection of news in brief from Investec Private Banking

Show card details, view/change PIN, reset passwords and Visa Secure

Investec Digital is always looking at new features for Investec Online and the App to make your banking and investing easier and even more secure.

Here are the latest four updates.

  • 1. Show card details

You can now view your Investec Visa card details on Investec Online and the App.

On Investec Online, simply login, select ‘Manage cards & accounts’ from the mega menu, go to ‘Manage cards’ and select ‘Show card details’ for a specific card.

On the Investec App, select the account the card is linked to, click on the ‘Card’ option and then select the ‘Card details’.

  • 2. View or change your PIN

You can now view and change your Investec card PIN on Investec Online and App.

On Investec Online, from the mega menu, select ‘Manage cards & accounts’, go to ‘Manage cards’ and select ‘View card PIN’ or ‘Change card PIN’.

On the App, select the account the card is linked to, click on the ‘Card’ option and then select ‘View PIN’ or ‘Change PIN’.

To activate a new card PIN, please visit any ATM and use your new PIN for a balance enquiry or cash withdrawal. Your PIN will be synchronised with your card and can then be used for transactions.

  • 3. Reset your password on the app

If you have forgotten your password to log into Investec Online, you can reset your password on the Investec App by following three easy steps:

  • Log into your Investec App using your biometrics, it will unblock/unlock your account
  • On the main menu, select ‘Settings’
  • Click on the password option at the bottom of your screen.

  • 4. Visa Secure

When you are shopping on e-commerce websites and mobile apps, Visa Secure uses enhanced security technology to authenticate and protect your Investec Visa card, ensuring your experience is as frictionless and secure as possible.

If you are shopping at a participating merchant, you will receive far fewer authentication messages. If there is doubt about the transaction, you will be prompted to complete an In App biometric authentication or enter an OTP (one time password) as an additional security check.
