Complimentary local and international airport lounge access

As an Investec cardholder, you enjoy unlimited complimentary access at over 1 100 international LoungeKey airport lounges worldwide, as well as unlimited access to SAA-owned and Bidvest Premier domestic and international departure lounges in South Africa. While you are waiting for your flight, you can enjoy complimentary food and beverages, access free internet, page through local and international newspapers and magazines or relax and watch some television.

LoungeKey programme


As an Investec Private Bank Account client you are automatically registered on the LoungeKey* programme that gives you and one guest unlimited access to more than 1 100 airport lounges  worldwide - regardless of the class or airline you are flying.


All you need to do is present your Investec Platinum Visa card and mention that you are a LoungeKey member. The lounge staff will verify the name on the card with your boarding pass, and then will swipe your card to verify entry. Your card must be valid (not expired) and active in order to access a lounge.

Each lounge is independently owned and each has its own rules regarding free entry for children, operating hours, maximum stay etc. Please check the specific conditions relating to a lounge on the LoungeKey website or through the LoungeKey App.
 

Additional guest entry (from the second guest entry) is charged at $32 per guest.

SAA-owned Airport Lounges

You enjoy complimentary access to selected SAA-owned Airport Lounges, irrespective of the class or airline you are travelling on. There are no restrictions on the number of visits per month per cardholder.

 

You can purchase access for extra guest/s with a valid Investec Visa card at R202 VAT inclusive per guest.

    The card holder can access these lounges and complimentary access applies to children under the age of 12 (up to four at a time per card holder). You can also purchase additional visitor access at any SAA-owned domestic airport lounges. 

     

    London Heathrow Airport

    When travelling on SAA only, you can also access the Air Canada Business Class Lounge, situated in London’s Heathrow Airport (Departures, Terminal 2).

     

    Unfortunately, children and guests are not allowed in this lounge and you cannot purchase extra guest access for this lounge.
     

    How to get entry
     

    On check-in for your flight at Heathrow, present your Investec Visa card and request an invitation to access the lounge. Please physically present your Investec Visa card and boarding pass at the lounge for entry. Access is not permitted for flights in transit.

    Terms and conditions

    • The name that appears on the boarding pass and your Investec Visa card must be the same.
    • Your Investec Visa card must be valid and active at the time of entry. You must have the card with you to be allowed entry.
    • You will not be permitted to enter the lounge if your Investec Visa card has expired. Please check your card expiry dates before travelling.
    • You will not be allowed to enter the lounge if your Investec Visa card is inactive. Your card becomes inactive if you have not utilised it for three or more months. (You may activate your card by making a purchase within the airport terminal at a café or kiosk.)
    • Only children under the age of 12 are allowed in the lounge and no more than four at a time per cardholder.
    • You can also purchase additional visitor access at any SAA-owned domestic lounges. 
    • Lounge operating hours depends on SAA and Star Alliance flights. Operating hours vary from airport to airport and from day to day.
    • SAA reception staff are not able to give flight information on other carriers, but there are flight information screens in the lounges.

Bidvest Airport Lounges
 

As an Investec card holder, you also have complimentary access to both domestic and international Bidvest Premier Airport Lounges throughout South Africa. For access, simply present your Investec Visa card and boarding pass at the lounge. Complimentary access is available for children under the age of 12 (up to four at a time per cardholder).
 

You can purchase access for extra guest/s for R247 VAT inclusive for domestic departure lounges and R413 VAT inclusive for international departure lounges per guest, as listed below. Please see the Bidvest rates and terms and conditions.
