EARNING REWARDS POINTS

Deeper partnerships, more rewards

As an Investec client with a Private Bank or Private Business Account, you’re automatically registered in our banking rewards programme at no extra cost – no minimum qualifying criteria apply. At a minimum, you can expect to earn 1 Rewards point for every R20 of qualifying transactions and 1 Rewards point for every R2 000 of qualifying balances. There’s no limit on the number of Rewards points you can earn and your points never expire. You can also earn points at a higher rate and on a wider range of qualifying transactions and balances – so the more you bank, finance, save, invest and insure, the more Rewards points you’ll earn. Your earn rate is determined by your partnership level. There are five levels to the Rewards programme. The higher your partnership level, the higher your earn rate will be.

How partnership levels work

As a Rewards member, your earn rate is based on your partnership level. There are five partnership levels and the higher your level, the higher your earn rate. Your partnership level is determined by your partnership score. As you reach each partnership score threshold, you move up to the next partnership level.

Level 1

Minimum monthly deposit requirement not met

The minimum monthly deposit requirement* must first be met to activate the partnership score and to access levels 2 to 5.

You earn 1 point for every R20 of qualifying transactions and 1 point for every R2 000 of qualifying balances.

Level 2

Partnership score below 100

And the minimum monthly deposit requirement* has been met.
 

You earn 1 point for every R10 of qualifying transactions and 1 point for every R1 000 of qualifying balances.

Level 3

Partnership score 100 to 299

And the minimum monthly deposit requirement* has been met.
 

You earn 1 point for every R7 of qualifying transactions and 1 point for every R700 of qualifying balances.

Level 4

Partnership score 300 to 499

And the minimum monthly deposit requirement* has been met.
 

You earn 1 point for every R5 of qualifying transactions and 1 point for every R500 of qualifying balances.

 

Level 5

Partnership score 500 and above

And the minimum monthly deposit requirement* has been met.

 

You earn 1 point for every R4 of qualifying transactions and 1 point for every R400 of qualifying balances.

*Refer to the Investec Rewards programme rules for the minimum deposit requirement per Account type.

How your partnership score is calculated

Your partnership score is calculated on the number of products and product balances you hold. Adding new products or increasing existing product balances will increase your partnership score. Keep in mind that it’s only calculated when the minimum monthly deposit requirement has been met.

*Finance and insure products contribute towards the partnership score calculation of the Investec Private Bank or Private Business Account from which the monthly debit orders are paid. Refer to the Investec Rewards programme rules for more information.

What your Rewards points are worth

The redemption ratio is 20 Rewards points for R1 across all Investec Rewards redemption options, except British Airways Avios.

  • Complete all the redemption details
