Hugh joined Investec in 2019 having previously spent 13 years at Lloyds Bank in Credit, Coverage, and Lending roles. He currently leads the origination team in Investec Capital Solutions helping businesses unlock working capital funding. Hugh has been in direct lending teams including cash flow, leveraged and Asset Backed for the last 12 years, with a particular focus on working capital for the last 7 years. The ICS team is focused on supporting SME and Mid-Corporate Management teams across the UK, to release working capital to fund growth and structure corporate transactions. Hugh is a CFA charter holder and has a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from The University of Bristol.

Kelvin has more than 30 years’ experience in asset-based lending. He joined Investec in 2025 after spending almost half of his career at ABN AMRO, having also held roles with private credit funds and private equity-backed funders. He specialises in delivering funding solutions for clients nationally, but particularly in the West of England and Wales. Kelvin has an extensive network of intermediary partners and longstanding relationships across the UK funding and advisory markets.

Matt joined Investec in 2022 and has more than 30 years of banking experience, including 12 years at Barclays and 16 years at Lloyds Bank. As regional director, he focuses on supporting UK SME and Mid-Corporate Management teams to release working capital for growth and corporate transactions.

Tom provides working capital and funding solutions to UK mid-market businesses, focusing on asset-based lending strategies. Before joining Investec in 2025, he worked at Barclays, HSBC and ABN AMRO, and has two decades of financial services experience.

Charles has been with Investec since 2024 and supports origination, transaction execution and client onboarding. He works closely with management teams and advisers throughout the deal process. He holds a degree in Politics and Philosophy from the University of Cape Town.

Jonathan supports the working capital requirements and growth financing needs of mid-market businesses through asset-based lending facilities. He joined Investec in 2026, having previously held origination, coverage and portfolio management roles at NatWest and BNP Paribas. He has a BSc (Hons) in Business Statistics from the University of East Anglia.

Max supports corporates with structured working capital, growth finance and event-driven funding through invoice finance and asset-based lending. He studied Accounting and Financial Management at Loughborough University, joining Investec Capital Solutions for his placement year in July 2023 before completing his degree in 2024. Max rejoined Investec as an Associate in September 2025.
