My primary role is to advise individuals and families on investment and tax matters. I also act for charities and sit on a number of charitable committees which gives me some insight into the issues charities face. Where appropriate, I work closely with my financial planning colleagues to ensure the best possible outcome for my clients.
I’m a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (Chartered FCSI) and have been involved in investment management for over three decades. I began my career in Glasgow with Parsons and Co. as a UK equity dealer before a two year spell in London with an Inter-Dealer Broker. I then returned to Parsons Penney in Glasgow in 1993. I stayed with the firm as it underwent numerous name changes, finally leaving with my investment team to join Brewin Dolphin as a Divisional Director in 2001. I later joined Investec in 2015 as a Senior Investment Director.
I am a keen rugby fan, supporting both the Glasgow Warriors and Scotland.

At Investec I have been very pleased to reunite with some of the most able practitioners I have worked with over the years. It is not a coincidence in my view that we have all come to Investec, rather it reflects the client focus we are able to deliver here.
