Investec expands Energy & Infrastructure Finance UK & Europe team with new hire

 

Investec Bank plc (Investec) has today announced the expansion of its Energy & Infrastructure Finance team with the hire of Robbie McColl as Senior Originator. Robbie will be responsible for the origination of financing transactions across energy and infrastructure sectors as well as developing and strengthening client relationships in UK and Europe.

With a 20+ year track record, Investec’s global Energy & Infrastructure Finance business operates across the UK & Europe, South Africa and North America, providing specialised lending and advice to its clients across a range of sectors. Investec recently announced the successful close of c. £100 million financing for Greenvolt's acquisition of Kent Renewables Energy limited and a €60m refinancing facility for Service Terminal Rotterdam (STR), a top-tier maritime fuel storage terminal located in the Port of Rotterdam, jointly owned by Amber Infrastructure Group and Access Capital Partners.

Robbie reports to Anupam Sharma, Head of Energy & Infrastructure Finance - UK & Europe and joins Investec from Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (“EDRAM”) where he was Senior Investment Director in its Infrastructure and Structured Finance team responsible for the origination, structuring, execution and management of private credit portfolios.
